It occurred to me the other day, while talking gardening with an acquaintance that much of the knowledge I've been fortunate enough to acquire over my many years of gardening - those things I assumed everyone knew - really aren't known to all! So I thought I'd start this blog to start putting them down to share with friends, strangers and mostly, my children.
Of course, my Gemini (triple air signed) brain can't stay on just one subject and it immediately zoomed to another topic I love - cooking! And then, from there, it bounced to fiber arts - namely crochet which I've been doing since I was 5, to knitting, which I began 50 years later! (really? 50? yikes - that sounds bad!)
Then there's my love of astrology, things new-agey and my spiritual beliefs (which often raise an eyebrow or two, or at least an eye-roll!)
So here I begin - jotting down all the 'stuff' that I someday want my kids to know, remember, learn or smile about - and anyone else who happens to wander here.
Grab a cup of coffee, a glass of tea or a martini - and sit back and relax. We all need a little more 'relax' time and little less 'wired' time - because, really, life IS short. Hope you enjoy!
